LAURENT JAMET

In 2010, his first documentary film "Invincibles" is an international success and is nominated in many festivals. Laurent received the award for "Best First Film" at St Lary Soulan Freeride Film Festival in 2010 and was nominated in the category "Best Documentary" at the IF3 in Montreal.

 In 2011, he followed his friend Thibaud Duchosal to try to learn more about the personality of this atypical big mountain skier. The result is a series of four episodes and a film which are also successful internationally. The film "Eye of the Storm" won the award for "Best Film of the Year" at the Danish Adventure Film Festival in Copenhagen in December 2012.

In 2013, his documentary film "Rise" won the "Audience Award" at Freeride Film Festival of Cauterets but also the award for" Best Action Movie of the Year "at the Danish Adventure Film Festival.

In the winter of 2014, he focuses on the Olympic Winter Games and directs "For My People," a 52-minutes documentary, produced by PVS Company, on the unusual life of Marie Martinod who ends up winning Olympic silver medal at Women's ski halfpipe.

In spring 2014, he moved to Greenland for filming his first feature film: Sedna, a story that has its roots in the Inuit mythology.

In October 2015, Sedna won the "Best Film of the Year" Award at Milan Mountain Film Festival in Italia.

Novembre 2016 marks the beginning of post-production for "Elbrus". A film that takes place in the mythical mountain of Elbrus, in Russia.

The movie is released in 2017 and, for now, Elbrus has been awarded with "Best movie of the year" at the Swiss Mountain Film Festival, "Golden Devil of Mountain Documentary" at the Festival International du Film Alpin des Diablerets and many more for a total of 7 international awards.

In 2017-18, he is on the road with american skiing legend Lindsey Vonn all the way to the Pyeongchang Olympic Games, directing the "Chasing History" series on Eurosport.

 

In October 2017 he joins Thibaud Duchosal, Lucas Swieykowski and Johannes Hofmann for an expedition to Southern Patagonia, a place ruled by the powerfull winds that shape the lands. The movie "The Empire of Winds" is just starting is Festivals Tour around the world and has already won 3 awards.

Meanwhile, Laurent is working in the world of advertising for major brands such as Renault, Michelin, Anthropologie, SNCF, Zippo, Bolle, the modeling agency Elite Model Look, Camille Enrico, Mini Cooper ...
